What Color Should I Paint My Room?

I am going to paint it one of the two colors below (periwinkle #204.204.255 or light green #230.255.204). I love the color periwinkle, however, it is very hard to find bed coordinates to match it. Right now I have white moulding and trim and white doors. White lace curtains. Beige carpet.

If you really like the periwinkle and that best matches your personality, then go for it. Just look for bedding with a combination of colors in it...even if the exact periwinkle color isn't in the bedding, if there are enough, pinks, purples and blues...and the green you like, you'll be safe. You can find the exact color for accessories like throw pillows and material to make chair covers or lamp shades. If you have trouble finding it, you may have to take a paint stick with the periwinkle paint on it to a fabric shop and match the color and have the pillows made. You can also line the inside of white baskets with the same color material as well as the green to tie all your colors together.

Reply:I think you are safe with Periwinkle if you save the matchy match for pillows. You can do just a white duvet. I have had the same trouble with a red. I tried to match the curtains to the comforter and it's been three years. I don't see why they can't work together. They are both in the same tone. Pastel type colors.Think of a flower, use nature as your inspiration.

Pepper red is sexy.

Pink Blush is girly n feminine.

Black to make it look smart and less dirty.

Beige or orange cream maches too but it can be stained easily.
